UX/UI
During my time working as a UX designer, I had to design many user interfaces and experiences for various clients with differing requirements. Each design needed to function on phones, desktops, laptops, and tablets. I also had to keep in mind accessibility for those who are disabled.
- Challenge & Soltuion -
One client required their user interface and experience to be accessible. I had to put myself in the shoes of a user who utilizes assistive software and hardware. This radically changed my approach and understanding of designing, I learned that we should design universally, so all users are able to navigate and operate designs. I discovered applications such as Dragon Naturally Speaking and how it can be used to navigate websites and PDFs. I was able to design a user interface that complied with the web content accessibility guidelines.
Tools: Adobe XD, Invision, and Figma.
